2-part essay. First part describes how different modes of time are manifested in different art forms (photography, performace, sculpture, drawing, text). Second part raises a question about the possibilities to encounter radical otherness in art, especially focusing on the relationship with non-human world.

3-part essay. First part examines the relationship of art and death or nothingness in reference to photography (Barthes), performance art (Phelan) and time-based art (Heidegger). Second part analyzes the shift from descriptive cartesian image to the image as spectacle and simulacrum, in reference to scientific wordview and new media ( Lev Manowich, Paul Virilio). Third part tries to open up a question about radical otherness by focusing on the idea of sublime.
